About Me

Let’s Get Acquainted

I like to photograph a variety of subjects with one common theme: people. I live in Edmonton, Alberta and have been lucky enough to call it home since 2004. A self-proclaimed local expert, I love finding hidden gems around town. My friends would describe me as artistic, silly and just a little spicy.

Here’s A Bit More

My Story

Edmonton born, Middle East raised. I’ve seen some of what the world has to offer and all I want is to see more. The way people interact with one another has always been a source of inspiration for me.

Some people are surprised to learn that I fell into photography by accident. I bought my first DSLR a few years after completing my Bachelor of Science in Evolutionary Biology. As a hobbyist, I quickly learned that my favourite subjects were always my friends.  I would snap candids and learn new skills any time the opportunity presented itself. While there is so much beauty in this world, nothing shines brighter than the human spirit.

It wasn’t long before I was asked to become a second shooter for a wedding. Even though I had taken a few courses, I was surprised that someone would consider such an offering to a novice like me. I am forever thankful to have been given that opportunity. My mentor was kind and patient with me. She taught me about the wedding industry and about running a business. I had no idea the joy and passion that would soon follow in my life. After a two-year apprenticeship, I opened my company and have been moving forward since. Nothing would make me happier than to take my camera around the world, photographing the amazing lives that fill it.

I currently live in a small house in Edmonton. My humble lifestyle is exactly what I need. My two cats are great companions during long days of editing. I enjoy spending some of my energy entering competitions and bettering my skills at every chance.

If you think we would be a good fit for one another, I would be honoured to continue my story with you!

“When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I’d like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph.”
